Microsoldering & Board-Level Repair in Latham, NY
Fix the board instead of replacing the device. The work stays in Latham.

A few of the jobs we see most
Common board-level jobs. The cards are examples, not every fault we see.
Charging and USB ports
The cable falls out, or a phone, tablet, or laptop will not charge. The port sits on the board, and the repair is done there.
HDMI ports
A console or laptop turns on, and the screen stays black or says no signal. The port is soldered to the board.
Power faults
It will not turn on, or it turns on and dies as soon as it is asked to charge. The fault can be on the board, not only in the battery.
Liquid damage
After a spill or a drop in water, we clean the board and replace damaged connectors. Corrosion can still end the repair.
Other consoles
Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam Deck, when the fault is on the board.
Odd jobs
iPod upgrades and car USB port repair, when the part and the board allow it.
If your device or fault is not listed, ask. We try whatever has a board, including one-off items.

Honest limits
No repair is guaranteed to succeed. Some boards are too damaged to save, and sometimes the part is not available. If we cannot fix it, we tell you what we found.
Soldering is final and non-refundable. Most motherboard attempts that do not finish carry an attempt fee for the diagnostic time. That fee is in the terms, not a surprise at the counter.
The order of work
- 1. Book. We do not take walk-ins.
- 2. Inspection, then an estimate before work starts.
- 3. If a deeper diagnostic is needed, it is $40 to $100 depending on the job, and we tell you the cost first and you approve it.
- 4. Repair in house, then a test before the device leaves.
- 5. You pick up, or we deliver. Free within 5 miles.
